In the working process of the dance piece Jemand Anderer the Sticky Trace Company considers and researches the question of our hidden desires for a different identity as well as our desire to escape our own. This project shows that many possibilities can be found to escape reality and to enter in foreign feeling worlds in order to make the own feelings strange or even to avoid them. This can take place through different forms: the construction of fantasy worlds or just the observation and consume of alien destinies, which allow us to ‘get out’ the own reality. The own emotional dark room can and should be filled with the live and experience other people or fictional situations. We will search all the peculiar and astonish abilities and methods which we develop, maybe without knowing, to dream of an other life or the life of another person and in this way to achieve our objective: to escape our arbitrariness or the supposed sadness our existence. This process can end in a dilemma of euphoria and self-deception and indeed not allow us to live our actually lives.
